I was born in Jerusalem at 1937. I was employed for 44 years as a flight engineer and flew airplanes for El Al Israel Airlines. I am now a volunteer at a nonprofit organization named Milbat where I create adaptive devices for people with various disabilities and toys for handicap children. The studio's working format allows for a wide range of projects in different fields of design and seamlessly incorporates studies/experiments and personal design undertakings. Yedidya (Didi) Vardi is the founder of Ron Vardi Center for the development of the gifted in Rishon Lezion. The Center is named after Didi's son who was killed in the Lebanon war in 1984. Didi is the creator of the center's "Model hall", an exhibition containing over two hundreds models. Nimrod Kozlovski is a researcher, lecturer and consultant in the fields of internet and information law and information security. He received his doctor degree in law (J.S.D) from Yale Law School and conducted his Post-Doc research in computer science as an associate in the computer science department at Yale University. Larry Linietsky is the Senior Vice President of Business & Partner Development – Digital for Clear Channel Radio. Linietsky is responsible for new business and managing partner-related product development including the recent launch of the New iHeartRadio, Clear Channel’s free, industry-leading digital radio service that offers more than 800 broadcast radio and digital-only stations from 150 cities plus the ability to create custom radio stations, delivering listeners everything they want all in one fully integrated service. Linietsky is also responsible for e-commerce relationships, strategic planning and is a key negotiator with record labels on the licensing of digital content. He has led various projects over his 6 years with Clear Channel including the design and deployment of Clear Channel Radio’s media player platform; the creation of the initial mobile applications on Apple, Android, BlackBerry, HP and Microsoft Windows Phone 7; the conversion from Microsoft to Adobe Flash for all media, in partnership with Akamai; and the developed automotive solutions for Ford Sync and Toyota Entune. Arkady Volozh is the principal founder of Yandex and has been Chief Executive Officer and a director since 2000. A serial entrepreneur with a background in computer science, Mr. Volozh co-founded several successful IT enterprises, including InfiNet Wireless, a Russian provider of wireless networking technology, and CompTek International, one of the largest distributors of network and telecom equipment in Russia. Yoram started his career in the previous century (1983) at Elbit Computers where he programmed an innovative real time data entry and display system for the Air Force. In 1984 he joined Intel where he worked for 9 years in engineering, consulting and training roles including working with leading companies in Israel and leading a Unix and X-Windows development team at Intel in Santa Clara.
In 1993 Yoram joined Microsoft in Redmond where he spent 11 years in software development and development management roles building products and technologies such as Windows 95, NetMeeting, the Microsoft Reader, ClearType, MSN Communities, and the Microsoft Rights Management (DRM) Server. In his last job in Redmond, Yoram was Group Manager in the Information Worker division responsible for the incubation of the Office Information Bridge Framework.
Between 2004 and 2008 Yoram was a Vice President at Amdocs (NYSE:DOX) - a leading telecom software provider, where he led the development of the Amdocs product portfolio as the head of the Amdocs Product Development Organization and later as the COO of the Amdocs Products Group.
In 2008 Yoram returned to Microsoft to act as CTO of the Microsoft Israel Development Center (ILDC) and General Manager for technologies at ILDC. His responsibilities included the ILDC innovation labs - a greenhouse for breakthrough developments -, new technologies and business groups, academia and industry outreach and programs and the technology connection with the Microsoft corporate headquarters.
Yoram is the co-author of 23 patent applications (7 approved so far) and several IETF RFCs. He has a BSc in Computer Science from the Technion.

Sigal Berman is a lecturer and head of the intelligent system M.Sc. track in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva. Miri Chais is a multimedia visual artist. She was born in Israel, and lives and works in Herzliya. Her work has been exhibited in Israel and around the world. Prior to her artistic career, Chais worked in advertising. Chais graduated from the Bet Berl Academy of Art in Kfar Sava, Israel, and later on established MC Studio, where she currently creates her art and design pieces.
Miri Chais' work is an exploration of how reality is perceived and processed in modern society. As reality filters through our modern consciousness, it becomes removed from its original source. Technology and mass media aid in this process of removal, until technology-generated images not only substitute but replace the primary experience. Chais works with the symbols and visual expressions used in the fields of science, biology and digital technology, as well as with modern folklore –especially Japanese comics and animation, where the blurring between the human and the virtual is particularly pronounced.
Chais' works are based on lighting elements, using elements such as LEDs and plexiglass which are also found in computers and communication devices. Other high tech elements, such as video, digital sound mixing, laser cutouts, and motion sensors are utilized as well. Chais' oscillation between different worlds – art, design, technology, science – enables her to conjure up a thrilling and intriguing ensemble that constantly challenges the viewer to question the reality of his life and its authenticity.

Assaf Biderman teaches at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he is the Associate Director of theSENSEable City Laboratory, a research group that explores the "real- time city" by studying the increasing deployment of sensors and networked hand-held electronics, as well as their relationship to the built environment. At the 2006 Venice Biennale, the group revealed the world's first city-scale dynamic maps, describing the movement of pedestrians, busses, and taxis in real-time. In preparation for the 2009 U.N. Summit on Climate change in Copenhagen, the lab developed a hybrid bicycle wheel which captures the energy of braking to give riders an extra push. Dr. Jihad El-Sana is a lecturer & researcher at the Department of Computer Science, Ben Gurion University of the Negev. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science from BGU. In 1995 he won a Fulbright Scholarship for, Israeli Arabs, for doctoral studies in the US. In 1999 he earned a PhD in Computer Science from the State University of New York, Stony Brook.
In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in a range of computer sciences, he heads the department's Visual Media Lab, which hosts various research projects in Computer Graphics, Image Processing, Augmented Reality, Computational Geometry, and Document Image Analysis.
The author of more than 50 professional papers in international conferences and journals, El-Sana's research interests include 3D interactive graphics, geometric modeling, computational geometry, augmented reality, and document image analysis. His research focuses on developing graphics technologies that simplify the generation of augmented reality system. He has made a significant contribution in developing processing tools that recognize online Arabic handwriting and the revision of Arabic historical documents.
El-Sana is socially active and has been involved in various NGO projects geared toward the development of the Arab society in the Negev, through education. He is currently serving as the head of AHD – The Academic Association for the development of the Arab Society in the Negev and has been the driving force behind the establishment of the AHD High School for Science.

Steve Greenberg is Founder/CEO of S-Curve Records, based in New York. S-Curve artists include Joss Stone, We The Kings, Tom Jones and Fountains of Wayne. Ron Huldai was born in 1944 and raised in Kibbutz Hulda. He served as a combat pilot and commander in the Israeli Air Force for 26 years, and retired with the rank of Brigadier General. After his military service, Huldai pursued his life-long dream and became principal of the renowned Gymnasia Herzlyia High School which he transformed from a deteriorated institution into a showcase of educational excellence. Huldai’s vision for Tel Aviv-Yafo is to further solidify the city as the epicenter of pluralism and liberalism, higher education, commerce, scientific achievement, quality of life and the focal point of Israeli art and culture. Mayor Huldai has eliminated the municipal deficit and has streamlined the city's workforce. From a city that chronically suffered from a decreasing population it has become a place that draws Israelis from every part of the country, and mainly young people between the ages of 18-35 who now make up one third of the city's population. Hermona Soreq is the The Charlotte Schlesinger Professor of Molecular Neuroscience at The Hebrew University’s Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences. Before joining IBM, Vova worked in few Israeli startups, being one of the first Internet developers in Israel. He was part of the teams building first Israeli Internet sites, and then was a lead developer for Internet based fax server. He is holding B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion, Israeli Institute of Technology and MA in Communication from University of Haifa. He is active in both academic and professional communities worldwide in the area of Human Computer Interaction and Computer Supported Collaborative Work.

Mickey joined SAP in 2005 as the Managing Director of Labs Israel.
Mickey brings with him more than 20 years of management and development as well as business experience. Prior to joining SAP Mickey was the General Manager of Infineon Israel – the Israeli development center of the German semiconductor company Infineon AG (IFX). Before that Mickey was President and COO of LaserComm Inc. – a Texas based start-up company developing a unique optical system for the long haul optical communication industry, and was founder and General manager of Kolnet Systems – a systems house specializing in real time systems, mainly in the data communication field.
Mickey has a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, and a MSc. in Computer Science from UCLA, California.

Yosi Taguri has been a developer since the age of 11 when computers had 8 bits and less than 64k of memory. He has a hobby of making people look a bit silly using apps and extremely enjoys the art of talking to people. On the serious side he has a vast experience in building large scale solutions on different platforms and working with early stage companies to realize what can be done with cutting edge technologies. The unit selects, recruits, and enables Israeli High-Tech companies, who conduct business with IBM to receive local support as well as international marketing, sales and service assistance.
Gabriel joined IBM in 1974, where he held various professional roles.
Between 1984 and 1990, he has been working outside IBM.
South Africa (Apartheid Era): From 1984 to 1989 Gabriel had the responsibility for a special edu-cational project, a joint venture of Barlow Rand Pty, South Africa, and Degem Systems, Israel. This unique initiative sought to upgrade the level of education among the underprivileged communities of South Africa.
Israel: Between 1989 and 1990 he held the position of the CEO of AdaNet.
He rejoined IBM in 1991 and held various management positions including heading the IBM Israel Public, Communications and Distribution Sectors.

Karen Tal is the founder and director of the new Education Initiatives Center, a non-profit dedicated to the strengthening and advancement of public schools – from elementary through high school - throughout Israel’s social and geographical periphery. The Centre will focus on providing school principals with the necessary backing that will empower them to realize their educational visions and goals for their respective schools; developing the school principal’s understanding of their role as a “communal initiator”; and providing schools with access to a broad network of community volunteers and donors. Until September 2011, Tal served as principal of the Bialik-Rogozin Campus in southern Tel Aviv. The school’s 900 students, ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 12 - the majority of whom are from socio-economically challenged homes - hail from very diverse cultural backgrounds: children of veteran Israelis of both Jewish and Arab descent; children of new immigrants; children of foreign workers – of whom some have acquired legal citizenship, and others are intended for deportation; children of Palestinian “collaborators”; and children of refugees. The work of the dedicated team of teachers and administrative staff at Bialik-Rogozin is informed by a pioneering spirit and a sense of mission, as they strive to ensure that every student at the school is afforded the right and the opportunity to receive an equal and quality education.
In 2011, Bialik-Rogozin was awarded the National Education Prize by the Ministry of Education, and was the subject of the film “Strangers No More”, which won the 2011 Oscar for Best Short Documentary.

Haim joined Mobilitec after 10 years with Elbit Systems, a global provider of avionic, space and naval technologies and systems, where he served as Head of Operating Systems and Communications software group.
Haim earned a BSC in computer science from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.

Jörg is the owner and managing director of Friday Ventures. Jörg advises SAP Ventures on investments, particularly in Europe and Israel. Jörg has been active in research, strategy consulting, venture capital and general management for over 15 years. Based in Germany, Jörg provides a tight linkage to SAP's headquarter in Walldorf. Prior to founding Friday Ventures and advising SAP Ventures, Jörg was a member of SAP Ventures in Germany. Gil Weinberg is the founding director of Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology, where he serves as an associate professor. Weinberg’s research interests include robotic musicianship, new interfaces for musical expression, musical networks, and sonification. His improvising robotic musicians and novel musical instruments have been featured in concerts and presentations worldwide, including SIGGRAPH, DLD, the Smithsonian Museum and the World Economic Forum in Davos. Weinberg is also the founder and CTO of ZOOZ, creator of musical applications such as ZOOZbeat and Mashup Artist. Dr. Weinberg received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT.
